Farewell, Brother Julicar PDF Print E-mail

Brethren and Sisters,

It is with a sad heart that we announce the untimely death of our beloved Brother Julicar "Jojo" Lavina this morning, January 15, 2008. We received a text message from her sister, our Rainbow Sis. Emma Anna, informing us about Brother Jojo's passing away due to complications of his kidneys.

Bro.Julicar Together with his other siblings, Brother Jojo is one of the pioneering members of the MSU DeMolay Club in the early 70's. He just turned 51 last January 3, 2008. He will be surely missed by the Brethren and most especially by those who holds him dear and close to their heart.

Brethren and Sisters, it is with deep sadness that we are called upon to pay the last tribute of respect to the memory of our Brother Jojo Lavina who has gone.A place once filled is now vacant. A chair once occupied is now empty. A voice once heard is forever silent to mortal ears. A form familiar to our eyes will never be seen on earth again. Hands, whose helpful clasp cheered us in days gone by, are folded in the everlasting rest. It is fitting, therefore, that we should pause, no matter how engrossing our duties, and pay to our departed brother the tribute due his memory.

Let us pray that the soul of our dearly departed Brother finds peace and rest in the arms of our Almighty Father, his creator. Our Prayers and sincere condolence also goes to the family and relatives of Brother Jojo, that they may find strength in this time of sorrow.

Farewell Bro. Jojo, you will always live in our hearts.
